Business Empowerment and Education Support Project

A kind, progressive individual engaged Daffodils Africa to implement a quarterly social impact project for her. She sole-funded the social impact project. As a result, in June 2024, we were able to provide educational support for orphans in Taraba State and business support for a widow in Lagos State.

IWD’24: Business Empowerment for Women

To celebrate the International Women’s Day 2024, we successfully organised a social-impact ajo/contributions to support two women-owned small-scale businesses in a low-income community in Lagos, Nigeria. This project was funded by contributions from different people that were interested in committing to the project’s goal in March 2024.

Our Impact in Action

Beneficiary One

Meet Mrs. Adeola, whose life was profoundly changed by our business support fund. After being evicted from her stall and unable to afford a shop, she received support from Daffodils Africa. With these funds, she secured three months' rent and stocked up on more goods. This timely intervention from Daffodils Africa was crucial in keeping Mrs. Adeola's business active and thriving.

Beneficiary Two

Mrs. Ogunwole, a widow struggling to raise her five children in a small stall, desperately needed support to revive her dwindling small-scale business. Thanks to the business support funds from Daffodils Africa, she has regained her footing and is actively running her business once more. This support has revitalized her livelihood and empowered her to better provide for her children's needs. Your contributions to Daffodils Africa make a real difference, bringing hope and stability to families like Mrs. Ogunwole's.

Ezekiel and Samuel

They are Mrs Ogunwole's children. Ezekiel in red is in JSS 2 and Samuel is in Primary 6. While Ezekiel dreams of becoming a carpenter, Samuel says he wants to become a footballer when he grows up. Both boys are intelligent and well behaved children. Daffodils Africa looks forward to doing more to help these boys dream bigger and attain greatness.
